The Larimer County Office of Emergency Management has set up the Recovery Line for any questions regarding resources and information for the Alexander Mountain Fire Recovery. Please call leave your name, number, and a brief message and someone from the recovery team will return your call as soon as available. 

Highway 34 is now fully open from Loveland to Estes Park 

Storm Mountain & Cedar Park residents with credentials are able to go into the Voluntary evacuation zones at this time

We continue to gather information while focusing on supporting first responders in their life safety efforts.  Recovery systems are in place, and we are coordinating with our partners to provide resources when more information becomes available.

NEW! Alexander Mountain Fire Disaster Assistance Center

Larimer County Office of Emergency Management is organizing the Disaster Assistance Center, a one-stop shop for anyone impacted by the Alexander Mountain Fire. The Disaster Assistance Center will provide information and resources from various organizations for those who had impacted properties by the Alexander Mountain Fire. Examples of Resources:

  • Insurance questions
  • Property clean up
  • Food waste
  • Flood insurance 
  • Permitting
  • Rebuilding
  • Individual needs

Information Regarding Re-Entry Credentialing

The purpose of re-entry credentials is for post-fire access to the areas impacted by the Alexander Mountain Fire. Once fire and law enforcement officials deem the area safe, property owners will be able to present these credentials to gain access to the impacted area while maintaining security in the area.

Storm Mountain & Cedar Park residents with credentials can go into the Voluntary Evacuation zone now. 

If you still need to receive a credential, the following locations can assist you during normal business hours. 

  • Fort Collins: Larimer County Clerk and Recorder's Office at 200 W. Oak Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521 
  • Loveland: Larimer County - Vehicle Licensing Loveland Office at 200 Peridot Ave, Loveland CO 80537
  • Estes Park: Larimer County - Vehicle Licensing Estes Park Office at 1601 Brodie Ave, Estes Park, CO 80517

Dumpsters have been placed along Highway 34 and at the Drake turnoff for residents to get rid of food waste

Information for Increased Flood Risk after Wildfire

Sandbags - Serve 6.8 will provide sandbags for individuals and businesses to help protect their properties and private roadways from flash flooding.

  • The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado has established the Northern Colorado Disaster Recovery Fund to meet the immediate and long-term relief and recovery needs of the people and places affected in Northern Colorado. Fire Cause Investigation

The cause of the Alexander Mountain Fire is undetermined. Anyone with information about the cause and origin of the fire is asked to call the US Forest Service Law Enforcement Tip Line at (303) 275-5266. Voluntary Evacuation - Evacuations are advised for residents and businesses if they are concerned for their safety, feel they need additional time to exit the area, or have health conditions that may be aggravated by smoke. You are encouraged to move livestock and pets out of the area and prepare for mandatory evacuations.

Mandatory Evacuation - Mandatory evacuations have been ordered to residents and businesses due to immediate and imminent danger. Evacuate the area immediately and as quickly as possible. Do not delay leaving to gather belongings or make efforts to protect your home or business. Evacuating immediately not only supports your safety, but also allows emergency crews better access to the area.
